As we were searching for new places to see in Vietnam, we stumbled in this very interesting sand park located in Binh Thuan Province.

Huge and life-like sand sculptures created by artists from around the globe will feed your eyes as you roam around this unique place.

It can be easily accessed via motorbike from Phan thiet or just a one long bus ride from Ho Chi Minh City. If you are a little adventurous, you can ride the local bus and show the picture of the place to the Bus driver and off you go.

Our “FORGOTTEN LAND” Experience

We went to forgotten land in early February and the weather was nice in the late afternoon. The sun was perfectly setting while the place was being so quiet or in our case, very peaceful.

As we walk through the sand park, the feeling of being immersed through the stories of each sculpture stroke us. Its like being a kid again in a theme park. But instead of riding the roller coasters, we are riding the hums of the artists that made such structures.

All the sculptures were very detailed and full of life.

It made us hard to believe that its made of sand.

  1. I planned to visit Vietnam but pandemic made it impossible as of the moment. I am always a sucker for unusual tourist spots and this is one extraordinary place. I personally love the Poseidon image. It felt so mythically real.

  2. Arts really is a reflection of one’s culture ‘no? Ang galing lang na nagdidiffer ‘yung forms ng figures depende sa kung sino ang gumawa (well, I might be wrong because pwedeng highly globalized ang artist). I just hope I could know who and where did the artists come from so I marvel more. Ang galing!

  3. They are very talented artists. The design of sand sculptures looks amazing. I wonder how long they finish each of the artwork. I like your shot on the castle with the sunset rays.
